Jon Jones ha scritto: "Man I haven't added anyone new to my Facebook page in like three years and right now I'm so glad that I haven't. It has literally been sickening to have so many people try to kick me while I'm down. At the same time, I totally understand, I gave them the leeway to. I screwed up, big time. Just needed to say thank you to all you guys for being amazing friends/supporters.

Always having to deal with so many critics, haters and fickle mma fans, I almost forgot how strong of a home base I had (607 and people that knew me before I was a champion fighter). Although the hell that will come with this hasn't even started yet, I want you guys to know how much better you've all made me feel, not only about this situation but about life, everything. It's good to feel that people are there and care. With that being said, I felt I should apologize to you first.

I'm truly sorry to those of you that I may have embarrassed in any way, to those of you with kids that I may have let down. I will prove to them as well as to myself, that no matter what is happening in life, we can always work our way back and make things even better than before. Reading you guys uplifting comments was a great reminder for me to not give up on who I am or all the hateful people. I'm not gonna allow this situation to outweigh the positive. I love you guys right back and I promise to make things right. PS sorry about the terrible grammar :)"

Dana White ha scritto:"It’s really sitting down and figuring out what is it you want to do. You’re 24 years old, you could be a force in this sport for the next 10 years and go down as the greatest ever – beat everybody, do all this stuff, be the first guy to break through and get a Nike deal, the first guy to get Gatorade and all these other things. Do you want to be that guy or do you want to go the other way? You can go the other way, too, and you can be the total bad guy, make a few million here or there and then go tell everybody to go, ‘(Expletive) off.’ It’s no different whether it’s the UFC, boxing, the NBA, the NFL – it’s the guys who really focus and get their (stuff) together no matter how old you are, whether you’re 21 or 31. That’s what we’ve got to figure out where Jones is at and what he wants to do.... The road is littered with talented guys who didn’t live up to their potential."

Dana White ha scritto:"I don't know all the facts as far as legally what is going on with him. I talked to Jon and, Jon is a good guy. He's a good kid. That's what everybody has to remember. When everyone is putting this pressure on this kid -- is he the pound-for-pound best in the world … no, not yet. There is so much more that I think, in my opinion, that goes along with being the pound-for-pound best on the world. Anderson Silva has proved it a zillion times over…. No matter how much money he makes, he's always the same…. Anderson is a professional, he's a martial artist, he's beat everybody who has been thrown at him, he's been a champion almost the entire time he's been with the UFC. We're going to find out now what happens with Jon Jones. Obviously, the legal side of it, I have no idea what is going on with that. Him and his people are handling that. I think that in the conversations that I've had with him, this is going to end up being a positive thing for him. If he handles this thing the right way, I think he will [learn his lesson]."

Mike Tyson ha scritto:"It depends on Jon, basically, what Jon wants to do. Number one, incidents like this, it basically turns into support system. A guy like me, when I was living my life making millions of dollars, I didn't have a support system. I had a bad support system so I received bad support. So, in an incident like this, we don't know. No one really knows Jon Jones, we just know he's a splendid fighter. We've never seen a UFC fighter like that. Wow, i just wish the best happens out of this situation. Just like so many people love him, there's very few people out there in a position to put him in a bad place. We're gonna find out from this situation if Jon Jones is gonna make us continue to love him for his great fighting and the way he carries himself, as a great individual and humanitarian, or is he gonna let the bright lights and dark shadows invade his life and be one of those rising meteors, he just flies through the air and lights the world up and then he dies down in the moment. I hope not, because we all respect Jon and Jon appears to be a very nice guy and respectable guy. I just hope the best for him because I've been through those situations before. I'm pretty dark in my life. I come from a dark place. Wow, I just hope the best for Mr. Jon. Take care champ."

Rashad Evans ha scritto:“Honestly, it’s hard to really say if it surprised me. I just hate to see that happen to him, or to anybody, for that matter. Some people really could have got hurt. Thankfully, nobody did get hurt. Hopefully, he learned his lesson from it, and he can continue to move on and be a great champion.”

“What’s next for Jon is he has to stay out of trouble, between now and June 19th. He also has to take an alcohol evaluation between now and June 19th. On June 19th, he is due to appear back in Binghamton City court. That is when he will receive his plea bargain. Now, his plea bargain is essentially this: He must stay out of trouble for a year. He must undergo these sort of alcohol sensitivity classes, to understand what could happen to a victim if they do drive while impaired. He must also pay any damages that his accident caused. On top of that, he must also put something in his car called an ‘ignition interlock device,’ which essentially means that between now and the next year, any time he drives his car, he will have to take a breathalyzer test to make sure he is not driving while impaired. He has also had his license suspended indefinitely. If he does agree to all this, and everything’s good between now and June 19th, he will not face any further charges. He won’t go to jail, he just has to pay a very small fine, a maximum of $1,500.”
