Al di là del discorso sui soldi, forse quello che dice sul suo essere cambiato come fighter è tutta una tattica per cercare di cogliere di sorpresa Silva e "ammazzarlo" di lnp per un quarto d'ora...altrimenti se è serio e gli viene l'idea di fare una scazzottata fa la fine del match precedente!

Intervista all'allenatore di Anderson Silva

On moving down for a catchweight fight:

The limit to fight GSP is 80kg (176lb). It is easier to go down to that weight than to go up to 93kg (205lb)...Who makes 84kg (185lb) at MW can easily make 80kg, you only need to lose more water, and Anderson is used to this... GSP doesn't fight at 77KG (170lb). Off camp he should probably weight 94kg (207lb). Who saw him around that period knows that he is very big and strong. I think that 80kg (176lb) is a good weight for both.


On Fighting Jones

He would need a long preparation to fight Jones. It is one thing to fight a regular fight at the category, and another different thing to challenge the champion for his belt. He would need to increase his weight to 105kg (230lb), and keep it that way for a long period. His speed would not increase, all that would increase would be his strength. He would need one year to prepare for that, and he would be at least 38 by then.


On the current preparation

The hardest thing about fighting at MW is to got down to 84KG (185lb), but he typically fights between 91kg and 92kg (200-202lb). Fighting at LHW he has the advantage of not needing such a big weight cut... I can guarantee you that Anderson is very strong and will fight at around 95 or 96kg (209-211lb), with a lot of speed.

Per ko mi sembra impossibile, l'unica mezza speranza che ha Bonnar è buttarlo giù e pregare!!!

Comunque Bonnar non è un pirla qualunque, ha affrontato svariati ex campioni UFC compreso l'attuale fenomeno Jones arrivando al terzo e vincendo anche un round se non erro, con Evans ha perso una decision molto combattuta e contro Machida per colpa di un taglio...
Ha avuto i suoi bassi, in particolare la sconfitta con Coleman vero neo della sua carriera, ma è un osso duro contro cui la vittoria bisogna sempre sudarsela. Contro di lui Silva dovrà stare ben attento al lay and praying, Bonnar è sicuramente tecnico a sufficenza per riuscire a tenere giù il ragno 3 round senza rischiare troppo, il problema sarà portarlo a terra ma in questo sarà facilitato dalle libbre di vantaggio...
