A quanto pare UFC e SF rimarranno divise e continueranno su deu strade parallele, lo stesso vale per i lottatori... ma per adesso! Finito il torneo dei pesi massimi vedremo Overeem in UFC!! Me lo sento

Per quanto riguarda Fedor... boh, non ne ho idea di come potrebbe finire...
Insomma SF è una specie di nuova WEC!

Anche col Pride aveva detto la stessa cosa

Però stavolta sono più fiducioso, essendo SF una promotion americana, la cosa è più facilmente gestibile.

Certo vedere per dire Bigfoot e Overeem in UFC e Hunt,Crocop e qualche altro massimo non proprio brillantissimo o in declino andare in SF non sarebbe male eh

Here are some details of Zuffa's purchase (Paraphrased from interview with DW):

-Scott Coker has signed a deal and will still be the face of Strikeforce, much like Reed Harris

-Showtime still has control of production. Lorenzo might be the one who deals with Showtime.

-Strikeforce fighters will remain Strikeforce fighters. UFC fighters that are cut may end up in Strikeforce.

-Zuffa will honor contracts with fighters and Showtime.

-Showtime is happy with the ratings and will remain for the time being.

-There will not be any superfights or co-pro's for the time being.

-Dana White feels the Pride deal was a bigger purchase then Strikeforce.

-For time being all Strikeforce employs will continue as business as usual, with growth help and international help from Zuffa.

-Coker is the key in road maybe to doing UFC in Japan.

-Zuffa plans on going to Japan, China, Korea, and India

-Strikeforce has two years left on their Showtime contract.

-Once SF contracts are finished Zuffa/UFC can sign those fighters.

-Josh Barnett, Frank Shamrock, Dan Henderson, and Paul Daley all have contracts and they will be honored.

-Dana White will not have direct control over operations with SF. You may see Joe Silva and Lorenzo Ferttita, but it will be headed by Scott Coker.

-Scott Coker is excited about the deal.

-Showtime could possibly end contract since Zuffa purchase, but there are no indication of that happening.

una notizia storica al pari della chiusura del pride e della wec ( con relativa acquisizione)
e cmq credo che l'unica frase veriteria è quella di daley,ma nn mi rischierei la mano sul fuoco, trttandosi di parole di white....tutto quello che ha detto e le varie specifiche che escono fuori di ora in ora possono esere potenzialmente valide da qui a fine anno, tanto per vedere come puo dìfunzionare una serie b ell ufc ( infatti dice che i combattetti licenziati dall ufc possono andare-e praticamente faranno tutti cosi- in strikeforce a combattere) dopodichè sioprrime la strike, acquisisce tutti i fighter facilmente assimilabili per aumentare ancora il roster ufc, entrarà in trattativa con quelli piu "libertini" ( fedor su tutti) e manderà a ca**re in promozioni satellite minori gli altri ( CREDO Daely su tutti)

è una notizia che non mi piace per niente!!! La monopolizzazione a mio giudizio può essere molto più nociva che producente a questo sport e si corre il rischio che in futuro solo la ufc possa proporre eventi di un certo valore e che possa fare "il bello e cattivo tempo " a discapito degli atleti e del talento.
Avevamo due organizzazioni valide che lasciavano l'alternativa agli atleti migliori di scelta in caso ci fossero stati problemi.
Inoltre non ho fiducia in Dana e nelle sue parole. Quello che dice sarei curioso di vederlo fra qualche anno ......

In questo modo l'ufc prende il coltello dalla parte del manico e ha il potere di imporre il proprio volere agli atleti perchè quali alternative altrimenti....passare in Strikeforce??? Ma se è sempre dello stesso padrone..... e il mercato giapponese non è più quello del pride.
per me è davvero una brutta notizia......spero di cuore di dovermi ravvedere in futuro.

Notizia storica per le MMA che davvero non mi aspettavo...ora la UFC ha il monopolio.
E proprio per questo non so se è una buona o brutta notizia,io che ho guardato di rado qualcosa della SF come penso molti fan che non sono proprio hardcore e si limitano alla UFC potranno/potremo trovarla buona perchè tra qualche anno ci sarà la possibilità di vedere Silva,Emalianenko,Overeem,ecc. però non è mai ispirante che una sola compagnia abbia il monopolio del mercato,ben ricordando cosa è accaduto nel wrestling nel 2001.
Per ora gestiranno le cose separatamente ma tra due anni l'unica alternativa concreta alla UFC potrebbe sparire.
Indubbiamente però Dana White è un mostro,sta costruendo un impero che non penso si potrà mai sconfiggere.
