L'immane figura di m***a con Russow (un budino umano che in quel match aveva pure una mano rotta se non ricordo male) sarebbe già sufficiente.

Cmq sì, scazzi con un dirigente e l'hanno pizzicato a parlar male dell'UFC con terzi, diciamo che 'sputare nel piatto dove stava mangiando' è stata la goccia che ha fatto traboccare il vaso.

Man, I think he must return to his fake fights that it’ll be best for him. I’ve always said that, he’s not a better fighter than Fedor, or Minotauro, or Cigano… He’s not the number one. I’ve said that when Werdum beat Fedor, who would become the number one? To me, it must have been Wedum because he had just beat the number one, but no. they put Brock Lesnar as the first, Werdum on the second place and Fedor in third. For sure now the top position is on good hands because Cain is a great fighter, he’s complete, has proven to have a good ground game, a good Wrestling and h’s a good exchanger. Now it’s on good hands. It was ridiculous for us, fighters, to see Brock Lesnar with only four or five bouts being considered the top athlete on earth, it’s ridiculoius. And people like Cain Velasquez, Cigano, Fedor and Minotauro coming after Brock Lesnar… He’s a fake fighter.

Va beh il baffone l'ha sparata grossa ma su quello non ha tutti i torti.
Ovvio la carriera del broccolo da esordiente è stata una delle più dure nelle storia recente delle MMA, ma tra gli avversari possibili all'inizio gli hanno fatto affrontare i nomi giusti nel momento giusto.

Mir secondo l'UFC era un ex campione da rottamare, era nel peggiore momento della sua carriera, ed era l'ideale per lanciare il broccolo (però gli andò male)
Herring era un ex nome in parabola discendente che aveva fatto vedere di patire i wrestlers, vedi precedente sconfitta contro Jake O'Brien
Per il titolo era ideale mandarlo contro Couture che pesava 60 libbre in meno, aveva 15 anni in più ed arrivava da più di un anno di stop

Insomma hanno cercato, anche giustamente dal loro punto di vista, di farlo fruttare al meglio.

D'altronde Lesnar era campione dal 2009 ma era già da un bel po' che anche tra di noi sul forum si diceva che il dream match in UFC sarebbe stato JDS vs Velasquez.

Non sono d'accordo. L'UFC guarda più ai soldi che alle persone. Prendiamo il caso Chuck Liddell che come tutti sappiamo è uno dei migliori amici di Dana, lo mandarono a morire contro Shogun
Ultimamente solo Couture ha avuto un occhio di riguardo nel matchmaking, e ci mancherebbe altro visto che ha quasi 50anni. Con Lesnar, Herring escluso, erano tutti incontri Win-Win per l'UFC.
Gli incontri a senso unico sono altri... si facevano al PRIDE e si fanno in Strikeforce.
